This pastel bedroom with a white brick wall looks like a dream right? Well actually, it’s real! And you can create this same style at your home with the following styling tips. And I know that the reason you clicked on this blogpost is to know where you can buy the products. Well, at the end of the post you’ll find a shop this look links. Yes! You’re welcome :).
I always love pastels, they give a space something soft. Beside that you can combine the pastel colours in many different styles. To add some pastels in a room you create some softness and that’s what’s perfect when decorating the bedroom. It has already been more than a year ago since I styled and photographed this bedroom in the wonderful house of Odyvet. I did this photoshoot for Stek magazine. And because they will celebrate their 5th birthday this summer I thought it was nice to share one of my favorite shoots. I couldn’t believe I didn’t share these photo’s before yet anyway. Because they went viral on instagram and Pinterest! But even when you already know this image, I still hope I can inspire you with this shoot and how to create this pastel bedroom in your own home!
Brick wall in the bedroom
The eyecatcher in this bedroom is ofcourse the white brick wall. Odyvet is blessed with a real wall and even in white it looks amazing. The style of the room with this wall is modern and industrial. But because it’s white brick wall and white floors till soft and light. And that’s the style you need for your bedroom! If you don’t have a brick wall or you can’t create one, you can fake it. Actually I don’t like fake but since there are beautiful collections of photo wallpapers I think it’s fine now and then. Check out this factory wallpaper for example, looks like real but also this NLXL collection consists of amazing real material wallpapers.
I think a white floor is a good option for every bedroom. Okay you will see a lot on it, like dust etc, but that makes you keep it clean right ;). I used to have a white floor in my previous Dutch home and I always loved it!
How to style with pastels?
I believe that this bedroom looks so cozy because of the pastel colours. For the styling of this pastel bedroom I choose for different nude and peach tones combined with white. The basic, such as the wall and floor is white, but I believe it’s good to create a balance. So instead of only choosing accessoiries in the accentcolour like peach and nude, it’s also good to add some white accesoiries. In this way the room is balanced by creating layers and soft contrasts. Do you think you can do that to in your own bedroom?
